Focus on Sustainability for Earth Month

Here at Cotton Bag Co we care about the environment all year round, but as it is Earth Month we want to focus on the importance of sustainability, and how we have shaped our business around these ideals.

Environmentally aware business practices

We work hard to minimise any negative impact our business has on the environment, by considering the effects that our choices have. We transport our products via shipping rather than using air freight wherever possible. We are also committed to reducing waste and keeping our carbon footprint as low as possible, and so we use green energy in our UK office. Our products are ethically sourced, and we opt to only work with people who share our ideals so that we can maintain these ethical and environmental standards throughout production.

Ecologically sound manufacturing

The materials that we use to make our bags is natural and renewable. We know how important it is to use sustainable raw materials to make our fabric bags, and we work closely with our suppliers to ensure they are kind to environment. The bamboo we use for our bamboo fabric bags is grown without pesticides, fertilizers or chemicals, which makes them a great sustainable resource. We can also provide certified organic cotton bags. We know how important it is to consider the effect our bags will have on the environment after they have been manufactured as well, and so we use eco-friendly water-based lead-free inks for printing designs on the bags.

Spreading the message of reuse and recycling

Recycling is important to us at Cotton Bag Co, and we work hard to promote the use of recyclable and re-usable products made with renewable materials. Many of our eco fabric bags are biodegradable, and our woven and non-woven PP (polypropylene) bags are 100% recyclable. A cotton bag is stronger and more durable than a standard supermarket plastic bag, and our fabric eco bags can be reused countless times to carry or store all kinds of items. We love the planet and so we think that using reusable bags is a great way to protect it.
